Session 5: Dialogue in Fiction Writing

Workshop: Tuesday 3rd December 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm at the Abbey Row Community Centre, Kelso. Downstairs in the Computer Room. £2 for the session to Peter. This is the last session before the Christmas/New Year break. The plan for Session 5 is to look at the ways the fiction writer uses dialogue to introduce and develop character, explore relationships and break up long paragraphs. It also provides an opportunity to use common idioms. We will discover ways to develop a writer’s ear to transform dialogue from actual speech to carefully crafted words. There will be an opportunity to read our own work at this session. Look forward to meeting up on Tuesday.
